1. NTK Indy GT 6 Person Dome Tent
Quick overview: ✔Product dimensions: 170.4 x 74.4 x 96 inches, ✔Seasons: 3, ✔Floor area: 14 x 8 feet, ✔Product weight: 18 pounds, ✔Capacity: 5 to 6, ✔Peak height: 6.2 feet, ✔Mosquito mesh: NO SEE UM ultra-thin polyester, ✔Doors: 1 D style door, ✔Bedding: Fits 1 queen air mattress & 1 single air mattress, ✔Our ratings: 7 out of 8 stars.
First of all, we are going to start NTK tent reviews with the NTK Indy 6 person tent. It is just as it says; a 6 or 5 person dome tent depending on the persons. Although from the picture it might not look exactly like the traditional dome tents we find but its main tent comes in the shape of a traditional dome. What you see in the picture is the outermost surface of the tent.
While this is the outermost layer, there is more than one layer in this tent. The main tent is of the traditional dome size and after that, it has an extra extended area in it. This bonus area is useful in many ways. For example, it can increase more storage area, more floor area, and more room in the tent.
But the best thing about it is that though having so much extension, it is not a simple lightweight tent that would just crumble when air flows. As I said, it has multiple layers. The 100% waterproof rainfly of this tent is made of 190T polyester laminated with polyurethane. It covers both the inner and outer sides completely.
Yes, there is an inner tent. This is what I was calling the main dome-shaped tent. It is made of UV protected, heat seamed thermoplastic coating.

When the tent is to be put up, it needs intricate but strong framing. This is why the frames of this tent are of thick Nano-flex fiberglass poles. On top of that, they are made of virgin materials and also has double gold chrome plated ferrule hardware. Sounds pretty strong right? And it is strong for real.
However, there is a small thing we, professionals know about the fiberglass poles in a tent. Although the poles of this tent have no such problem in my finding but the fiberglass poles are not very reliable in strong air in case of many other types of tents.
There are many varieties of tents in the market and each of them has a different setup system. The easiest way of dividing them is in two ways. The first one is the tents that are very easy and has an instant set up system and the second one is the tents that are not very easy and takes more time for setting up.
This tent falls in the second category. But do not get under the impression that not very easy means it is too hard. I mean to say that it is not very easy and cannot be instantly set up like many other tents. Take these Core tents as examples. They can be set up in a minute or two.
But our NTK tent has a more complicated setup system that can take some time. But when you get familiar with the process, it will be as easy as boiling water.
Now do not misunderstand that this tent is very complicated. Because it is not. And even it is slightly more complicated than Core tents above, then it is for your own good. See the Core tents, you will find that they are very light and easy to set up which made them very easy and vulnerable to air. NTK does not have any of this type of limitation.
Recommended: Best instant tent no more setup hassle.
Inside the tent
You can say there is a whole different world inside the tent. This whole different world has some very good features. Let’s start with the door and the windows and their air circulation system.
This tent has one main door. Apart from that, it has an extra chamber at the front that too has a side door. You can consider this vestibule as a balcony of your home. Sounds funny!
I am not going to say much about the windows because there are a lot of them including some small vents. So you do not have to worry at all about air ventilation. Whatever there is, it is more than enough.
Now, what are you going to say about the micro mosquito mesh system of this tent? The whole tent has this special mosquito and breathable mesh so that you and your friends or family; whoever is your companion in the tent can stay safe from mosquitos or any other small insects. It is a very common problem faced by many during camping. Learn some camping tips to stay safe.
But you do not have to face this problem with the NTK. All you have to do is to be careful that these annoying insects cannot get in the tent.
The lowest part of this tent is its floor. It has a good large floor area of 14 x 8 feet. Here it can fit one queen air mattress and another single air mattress. So it is sure for fitting 5 people if not 6.
The unique feature of this tent floor is in its curves like that of a bathtub. The reason behind such design is to keep you and your companions inside safe from water puddles. Its polyethylene, silver-coated material with seamless design gives perfect protection.
Apart from all those big features, it also has some more. And I do not feel good if you leave this page without knowing about them from me.
You know, I have said above that there is another door with the vestibule. But I did not tell you everything and now it feels like it is eating me. This extra door is made of PE tarp and it is detachable as you wish. You can keep it closed or open or use it as a shade from the sun.
Then, there is the pocket. Big pocket that is given to you so that you can keep your most needed stuff in it. Whether it is your phone or your water bottle or book. Whatever is important and most used for you, the mesh pocket is welcoming you.
Lastly, I am left with the hook. There is a lantern hook at the top of the center of the tent. You can suspend your lamp or lantern or whatever your lighting source is on it.
2. NTK Arizona GT 9 Person Camping Tent
Quick overview: ✔Product dimensions: 208.7 x 96.5 x 80.8 inches, ✔Seasons: 3, ✔Floor area: 17.39 x 8.04 feet, ✔Capacity: 9 to 10, ✔Product weight: 26.4 pounds, ✔Room divider: Yes, ✔Peak Height: 6.7 feet, ✔Mosquito mesh: NO SEE UM ultra-thin polyester, ✔Doors: 2 D style door, ✔Bedding: Fits 3 double air mattresses & 2 single air mattresses, ✔Our ratings: 9 out of 10.
This is the best large family tent by NTK accommodates 9 people. With its large size, NTK has not made any compromise with the quality. Instead, I have found this tent better than the last one. So read the following description below to learn how.
The basic design of this NTK Arizona is the same as the NTK Indy 6 person tent. Basic design means the main dome-shaped tent, then the extra room, double layer of shade, rainfly, and other accessories. But each of them has been upgraded and with some extra features in the Arizona tent.
The frames for this tent are 100% virgin Nano-flex shock-corded fiberglass made thin poles. These frames are color-coded with red and white color so that you can recognize which pole is to be set and where. For your information, the red poles are the crossed pole required to make the dome shape of the tent.
All the poles have gold plated ferrules that are also double plated. The poles are tried to be made as strong as possible. And they are strong, no doubt. But as I have said earlier that the fiberglass made poles or frames are strong, but they are not dependable. It might be damaged suddenly in wind or it might stand firm in many heavy windy situations. So this is not the best tent for wind.
Lastly, the poles of this tent have the pin and ring system (pin and rings are made of aluminum) so they are very easy and quick to install.

All the materials of this tent are of first-class quality. In both of the layers, the best materials ideal for heavy usage is used. See the rain fly for example. It has the 190T polyester laminated with polyurethane 2500 mm water column material. It is also UV protective, heat-welded PU seam-sealed, and partially made of aluminum.
There is a fold-up door, mesh windows, and their covers with the rainfly. If you want to fold up the rainfly partially then there are straps with it that attach with the frames and you can partially cover the tent.
Well, this was just the outer layer, the inner layer is more awesome. If you are camping on a bright and sunny day, you won’t need the rainfly. Without it, the full tent is a great room with light, shade from direct sunlight, and perfect airflow due to the mesh walls of the inner layer. There are also multiple big windows and a large D style door with it.
Setting up this tent is very similar to the last one. As their basic structure and system are the same, the same setup rules apply for this one too.
As this tent is larger, so it will take a little more time to complete it. The procedure of setting this tent in short is—
First, you have to attach the poles correctly. They are color-coded so you will know which one to use. Then comes the tent. And over it, the second layer; the rainfly has to be put. And between these steps, there are some tent stakes, straps for you to attach. Learn how to set up a tent in detail.
The setup of doors and windows is according to the user’s will. They’ll decide whether they want to keep it open or closed.
My suggestion will be to put the rain fly on partially on the tent. In this way, you will get light and air as normal and also you can quickly cover you, your companions and the stuff if rain starts to pour suddenly.
Inside the tent
You already know a lot about the inner tent. You know that it is large, has mesh walls, and fits about 9 to 10 people. These are just some general information. Now I am giving you a comprehensive analysis of the inner tent.
First, let’s start with the floor area and capacity. You know this tent fits 9 or 10 people in it. But you do not know how much space is there in it. For that, you need to know the floor area. Its floor dimension is about 17.39 x 8.04 feet.
Between this 17.39 x 8.04 feet space, you have to fit all the people, and all of their stuff with them. To help you understand the floor area more precisely, I use a comparison with air mattresses.
In this tent floor, three double and a two single mattress will fit perfectly. Otherwise, if everyone has their own sleeping bag then 10 sleeping bags will also fit.
Related: Top 3 backpacking sleeping bags.
But here is a thing. This tent can be divided into two rooms. There is a room divider with it to separate the whole tent into two portions. In the smaller room, two or three-person can stay comfortably and the rest can stay on the other side. So when you are using this tent, get the idea of population and space if you need to divide the tent. Otherwise, there is a lot of space for 10.
The height of the tent is not the same everywhere. In the smaller room, the height is less than that of in the main dome. In the dome, the peak height is about 6.7 feet so you can stand straight there. The other room has a height of around 6 feet. So even if you can stand straight, your head might touch the ceiling of that part.
Well, there is not much more to say on this other part. I have already told you that the wall of this inner tent is meshed and comes with multiple windows and two doors. One at the front; which is a fold-up door and the other one is a D style door.
There are mesh pockets in the tent. One of them is large and the other is comparatively small. Apart from the pockets, there is also another storage space in the ceiling. At the center, there is a gear loft for your gears. And beneath this gear loft, there is an O ring for hanging your lantern.
Just like the previous tent, the floor of this tent is also made of silver-coated, anti-fungal seamless polyethylene material. It too has the bathtub shape to keep you well protected in the tent and not to bring you down under a puddle.
And yeah, there is one thing of the outer tent I did not tell you earlier. There are small ventilators with the rainfly of this tent that can be used when you have to set the full rain fly up due to rain. Don’t worry! The ventilators have shade above them so rain won’t enter the tent and airflow will still be maintained properly.
3. NTK Super Arizona GT 12 Person Camping Tent
Quick overview: ✔Product dimensions: 247.2 x 122.4 x 82.8 inches, ✔Seasons: 3, ✔Floor area: 20.6 x 10.2 feet, ✔Capacity: 12, ✔Product weight: 39.8 pounds, ✔Room divider: Yes, ✔Peak height: 6.9 feet, ✔Mosquito mesh: NO SEE UM ultra-thin polyester, ✔Doors: 2 D style doors, ✔Bedding: Fits 3 double air mattresses & 2 single air mattresses, ✔Our ratings: 8 out of 10.
This is our last product of top 3 NTK tent reviews. And as the last one, we come to you with the NTK Arizona 12 person tent which is even larger and better than the last two. This is why it is also named as Super Arizona tent. So let’s see what kind of super things this tent has to offer us. Currently, this is one of the best large tents on the market.
This time I would have to say that the Super Arizona 12 person tent is not very different from the previous Arizona 9 to 10 person tent. From its basic structure to most of its components, Super Arizona has everything; only bigger and better.
In the super Arizona tent, we have the same color-coded 100% virgin Nano flex, extendable fiberglass poles. In this case, we have a better diameter of those poles and also the double gold plated ferrules.
For a convenient working experience with them, the aluminum pin and ring system is also used here. And as the final nail for this coffin, you have a lot of tent stakes that go into the ground for stabilizing the straps and ropes with the tent.
The materials of the outer tent are made of 190T polyester laminated with a polyurethane 2500 mm water column. And it is also partially aluminum made and has UV protection.
The polyurethane of this tent materials is seam-sealed and also heat welded. And in the outer layer of this tent, there are also some mesh ventilators for maintaining proper air circulation when you need to lock down the full tent due to heavy rain. The vents have shade over them so you do not have to worry about rainwater entering thorough them (unless the sky is showering horizontally).
Other than the vents, the rain fly also has zipped windows. If you ever find that you need more air and light from Mother Nature without soaking your tent and people inside, the zipped windows with the outer layer will come very handy.
Setting up this tent is also like its predecessor. You already have all the materials necessary. You have the poles that are color-coded for easy recognition while installing, you have the main tent, then tent stakes, then the outer rainfly.
Now all you need to do is to set them up one by one. As this tent is even larger, it will not be surprising if this one takes a bit more time. It would be even better if you have another pair of helping hands. You see, it is a large tent with long frames and bigger materials and covers. So it is kind of obvious that handling it alone will not be very easy.
We just finished reviewing the outer part of this tent. Now it is high time for exploring the inner tent with you.
Just like the outer layer, this layer is also not very different from materials and features. The major difference is in its size. You will have a bigger and wider space inside this tent which is unlike others.
The floor area is one of the most important aspects of any tent. You might ask how it is so important. I would say, I am going to live in the tent, I am going to spend my time with my friends and family while sitting, lying in the tent. So if the tent itself does not have enough comfortable room for me and my companions and our belongings, that tent is no use of me. So I guess it is pretty important; at least for someone like me.
But what I find in case of the NTK Super Arizona tent, I find no particular problem of spacing. It is a large 12 person tent so it is definitely going to have a lot of space. In numbers, its floor area is 20.6 x 10.2 feet.
But for your convenience, let me give you a slight comparison with air mattresses. Inside this tent, you will be able to fit three double air mattresses and two single air mattresses. You have to organize your living arrangements within them. Again, if all of the dwellers have their own sleeping bags, then it will be fine or 12 sleeping bags too.
Inner tent material & design
Now that we have finished discussing the floor, now time to inform you about the design of the floor. We have seen previously in the NTK tent reviews above that their floors are made of a bathtub like the design to keep it out of water’s way. Well, this is no exception to that.
It also has such a curved design and made with the silver-coated, seamless, anti-fungal polyethylene material. This is to ensure that it lasts long and provides us with a good amount of heavy-duty service.
Aside from this floor, the whole inner tent is mostly meshed and ventilated for a superior air circulation system as well as better protection against the insects and mosquitoes from the surroundings.
Do you think that’s all? No, there is also a precautious security measure taken in these tents for fire. The CPAI-84 flammability standard (it is a famous fire measure for the outdoor fabrics like that of the tents) is maintained in this and the other tents.
And yeah, there is one other thing left. This tent is also dividable into two rooms. You will get a room divider that acts as a wall to separate the tent rooms. However, it does not divide the tent into two equal rooms. One room will be smaller than the other one.
Well, almost every one of the important things I wanted to discuss this tent about is over. In the end, only some common features of this tent are left to mention.
Just like every other one of their tents, it also has mesh pockets and bottle holders with it. Considering the bigger size of the tent, the storage area of these pockets also increases simultaneously. With an increased population, there will be more belongings with everyone that might require quick temporary storage.
Such is also in case of the gear loft. Things you do not need down can be kept up and out of reach of the children (if present in the camp trip). But one thing that has not changed is the lantern suspender. With the gear loft, there is always a lantern “O” ring for lighting.
10 most necessary camping tips
Has it ever occurred to you how we all love camping but many of us do not know about most of the basics and also important things about it? Camping or hiking is not only about fun, enjoying nature, and healthy recreation away from the toxicity of the modern world. It is also about living and survival within nature without the ease of access from our advanced lifestyle. Especially if you are somewhere far from home. That is why you have to take note of all the cases for camping. Otherwise, you won’t be able to get the best out of the trip.
Lucky for you, we are here with the most essential knowledge of everything related to it. So if you are someone new in the camping world, this portion is a must-read for you. So buckle up and get ready to explore the camping and hiking world in a way you have never seen before.
Before going on an actual trip, there are some essentials or accessories that you must have with you. Because without them the camping trip will not reach to perfect completion. Besides, you need these things for living outside the home. So we have decided to give you the list of these accessories which you can use as your camping or hiking checklist. However, the accessories mentioned below are used in camping and hiking in general. There may be some other things that might come handy depending on their use, spot, weather, temperature, etc.
As this article is about NTK tent then I think it will be wise to start with the tent. Well, I have nothing new to say about the role of tent camping. Because you know, wherever in the world you go, you will definitely need a roof over your head or a place to live. Even if it is temporary. The tent serves the role of this temporary living arrangement. And it is one of the topmost and very important things to have for camping. Or else, where are you going to stay? Camping is not taking a short stroll of a few minutes to the nearby park. You could be gone for days to the greeneries. It is not like there are hotels to stay there. And if there are, will it be camping?
Tents are also needed for safety and protection during camping or hiking. They keep you safe while hiking or camping from hot sunlight, rain, and storm. Then they protect you from any harmful insects like mosquitoes (which can be very dangerous in the wild) or any other animals that may wander around in the wild.
So I think you get the importance of a tent camping or hiking. Now let me debrief you about the types of tents available for camping. Well, there are a lot of types of tents used for camping or hiking. Among them, the most common ones are— dome tents, family tents, backpacking tents, tepee, trailer tents, rooftop tents, pop up tents, A-shaped tents, etc. In the NTK tent reviews, the tents provided to you fall among the best dome tents and family tents.

Which tent to buy?
Well, I do not have a definite answer to this question as it depends on several variables. But I can help you identify what type of tent you will be needing for your trip. Then the choosing and decision part is yours to make.
When it comes to buying a tent, first of all, you need to consider how big you want your tent to be. Or how many people are going to live in a tent. When you know this, you will be able to focus on some specific tents.
Then you should decide the design and features of your tent. Some tents set up instantly, some are set on the roof of your vehicle, and a lot of them come with various shapes such as dome, tepee, ridge, etc. So if you have a particular choice then go for that.
Now the other features of tents are different on each type and their manufacturers. But I have a short suggestion of the best components you will find in every one of them. For example, go for a tent with the most high-quality material, rainfly, and tarp. Usually, they made of polyurethane or nylon, etc.
Then you should look at the frame design, structure, and quality. You will find frames made of PVC, fiberglass, aluminum, steel, etc. Look at their size and diameter and you will know which one is strong. Undoubtedly the metallic ones are strong. But you have to consider that they are heavy and you might not need this extra weight.
You also need to consider the weather of your camping site. If it’s warm then mesh and the ventilated tent is necessary otherwise only vents will suffice. Weather is also important while choosing the frame as you will definitely need strong frames for windy areas.

Canopy is also like tents and serves its purpose of sheltering you and your companions. But it is more open. You know tents are a bit compact when it comes to area and space. On the other hand, canopies are big, wide, and open and ideal for group hangouts. Whether it is with your friends or with your family. They are just great for passing your time out in a shed in the open air. And there are canopies that have walls and doors with them if you find their necessity.

3. Sleeping bag
The sleeping bag is also one of the most inevitable things to have during camping. There are also many alternatives to sleeping bags but in my opinion, the sleeping bag is the best option here. They have the best temperature control apart from its other obvious reasons. Sleeping bags are best in being cozy and comfortable, warm, and soft.
If you want to be very warm while sleeping in a very cold area then there are extreme cold weather sleeping bags. And if you want not so hot but ventilated sleeping bags such as the Nemo Disco 30, they are available too. These are both warm and not so warm type sleeping bag. Serves well in the places which are not extremely cold.
Alternatives to sleeping bags
As I have said, sleeping bags are not the only option for camping. There are also many other good products such as sleeping pads, quilts, bivvy bags, sleeping cots, hammocks, and many other things that could be a good alternative to sleeping bags.
Ropes are an essential accessory for camping and hiking. Even though your tent or other stuff may have ropes with them. But still, it is a better option to carry it with you. Who knows when you might need them?
5. Water purifier
I don’t think I have to say anything about the importance of clean water in any part of the world. So when you are in the wild, there is a good chance of the water available there not to be safe for drinking. And it is also not like that you can carry gallons of water all the time with you. And it is also not likely that you can take the water filter out of your home. So what is the solution to this critical problem?
Well, there are many small portable mini water filters available in the market now. They are very lightweight and can be easily carried around with anything. But the most important thing about them is that they are just as good as the big filters.
In my opinion, not only the campers, everyone should have one of these mini water filters of their own. Especially the people who stay away from home in the unknown places for work or visiting or for any other reasons. You don’t know how much clean your drinking water is in new places. Besides, they are very cheap. So there is no problem with keeping one for emergencies.
6. Wood-burning stove
We need to eat just as much as we have to drink. And without a good stove, we cannot cook and eat food. Moreover, there is a special fun in cooking while camping.
There are small wood-burning stoves that can be used as both fireplace and cooking food in the tents or big camps. And there are also some mini portable bonfire stoves that are very handy for carrying around. You might not need to carry extra fuel for them. Wood branches or twigs that usually lie around can be used to burn as their fuel.
7. Kitchen utilities
Eating does not just end with only a stove. You also need lighter, pots, kitchen knife, glasses or mugs, plates, spoons, soap, etc. other necessary utilities.
Choosing the right clothes are very important for camping. There are some clothes that are not very suitable in such a situation. For example, heavy cloths like denim are not appropriate for camping or hiking. They are very heavy, takes a lot of time and effort for cleaning and they also cause irritation on the skin because of constant friction all day long.
On the other hand, lightweight soft cloths like nylon are better in this type of situation. And also remember to take and extra pair of you delicate such as socks and other inner wears. Just try to be in clean and fresh clothes.
It is a common mistake made by many people that they take their daily shoes or snickers on a hiking trip. It is certainly not the right and wise decision. You see, hiking is done usually on hills or mountains or other special hiking trails. It takes a lot of toll on the loges and the shoes. The normal shoes are not good enough for this kind of use. There are different types of hiking shoes and boots for different trails, weather, and purposes. So if you are interested in hiking then you should go for the specially made hiking shoes or hiking boots.
For camping, there is no need for the special high-quality hiking boots unless hiking is also a part of your camping trip. A good and comfortable pair of shoes or boots will suffice.
These are some necessary accessories that we need for camping but most of the time we forget. This includes tissue paper, wipes, toothbrush, toothpaste, towels, and some other feminine products if females are included in the trip.
The sun can cover most of the time in the day but when it goes down we have to rely on the man-made lights. You must have torch or flashlight or lamps or lanterns with you while staying in a tent. Trust me, you will thank me for reminding you of them.

Lastly, we need a good means to carry all these things for camping. And for that, we need a good, strong bag with enough space and one which is comfortable to carry anywhere. What other kinds of bags are better than hiking backpacks. They are made for heavy-duty use such as hiking or traveling.
The hiking backpacks are very strong and heavy-duty by default. Then they have the special features of having many types of pockets, holders, lids, etc. Some of these bags are small in size and some are bigger. But there is also a whole bunch of them that are expandable as the user seems necessary. It means, at first they have a small size. Later on, the user can expand its size if he or she needs to put a lot of stuff in their bag.
To do’s before camping
The first and foremost thing about hiking or camping is to gather knowledge. Now you will ask what type of knowledge do we need for going to a picnic? Well, it is rather a very important knowledge to contain in the brain. And just to be clear, I am not talking about the bookish knowledge here. I am talking about the knowledge of the real world.
Before camping, at first, you need proper knowledge of the spot you are going to. You need to know about the weather, temperature, locality of that place. You also need to how safe this place is, from both humans and animals. It is also necessary to know the whereabouts of the nearest clean drinking water source in your camping spot or your hiking trail.
After that, you must know the belongings you will be carrying on the trip. You must know that the tent or the stove or the other things you are carrying will be good enough for the trip.
Then you must know what, when, and how to do anything while camping. Whether you are on hiking or on camping, and whether you are new or old in camping, knowledge is always the power. Especially if you are someone new in this line or the decision-maker of the gang, you should know how to respond to any natural or any other emergencies. You should also know the best spot to set down or what are you going to do with the garbage produced during camping.
Only acquiring knowledge is not enough. You and every member of the trip should be prepared for their roles and their belongings. Going to the actual campground blindly is not a wise decision.
For example, suppose you have bought one of the tents from the NTK tents above. Now right after you buy the tent, you went camping directly without even opening once. There you have found that you cannot set up the tent. What are you going to do now?
Your job is to practice setting up the tent and putting it down a few times so that you do not get into any trouble later. And this is applicable not only for the tent but for everything. If you have a hiking boot, try it out to see if it fits or if it is comfortable enough. If you find that there is some fault in the shoe or boot and you cannot walk with it, then it is good that came to know about it earlier.
If you have a stove, try making coffee or brewing a cup of tea on it. Or try making scrambled eggs or poached eggs to test the stove. In this way, you will know how to use them and also be prepared to handle any exception.
Now the final part is to execute all the knowledge you have gathered and all the test runs you have performed. Now, go on your dream trip and do everything accordingly. You have all the knowledge and you know what to do when to do and how to do it. Follow your instincts and you will have a great experience on your trip with your friends or family. And of course, with the tent from NTK!
