Each time we are going to get through some Core tents with different sizes and features. And first one on that list is this Core 4 person instant dome tent.
Well, we can easily derive some of its features just from the name. We know that it can fit 4 people in it for living. Then we also know that it is an instant tent. That means it is quick to set up. But the question is, how quick?
Well, you will be pleased to know that it takes only 30 seconds to set this full tent up by anyone. And setting up is also very easy due to its integrated frame system. All the user needs to do is to unpack it then extend it until the poles click in the right position. And that is all. Set up is finished.
We also saw that it is a dome-shaped tent. It is a dome-shaped tent with good air inlet system in the ground and ceiling. The ceiling is meshed and there are air vents on the ground side that are also adjustable.
For better protection, Core has used its H2O block technology. You will get water repellent fabrics for the tent and also rain repellent doors and windows. So now you have got nothing to worry about the weather with this tent. You will also get a rainfly, especially during raining.
And yeah, I forgot to mention that there are zipped privacy panels with the doors and windows of this tent.

Inside the Tent
We have had a very long discussion about the outer features of this tent. Now it is high time to know a few things about what is inside in this tent.
First of all, let’s talk about the area of the tent. As it is dome-shaped, the height of the tent is not the same. But the peak height at the center is about 54 inches. Then there is the important floor area. As it is a four-person tent, there is not much extra space in it. However, there is much enough space for four-person though. It has a 9 x 7 feet floor area where four people can easily fit.
Speaking of fitting, this tent can fit an entire queen air mattress. The user of this tent can either use a queen air mattress for all or they can use their individual sleeping bags. There will be enough space for four sleeping bags in the tent.
There is an electrical access port in the tent for the users’ convenience. And the port is closable when not in use for maintaining safety.
To keep the tent floor neat and also let you have some good room for you and your friends or family, there are storage pockets in the tent. You can keep your most important traveling items there instead of scattering them on the floor.
There is also a gear loft at the central top. You can hang any lantern of similar lighting items there if you need nighttime lighting.
- Water repellent fabric and doors and windows with the H2O block technology covers the hardship of nature for you.
- Enough floor area for four people where an entire queen mattress can easily fit.
- Extremely easy and quick to set up the tent by anyone; it takes only 30 seconds.
- The ceiling of this tent is meshed for airflow and there are also adjustable vents at the ground for the same purpose.
- Integrated frame system
- H2O block technology
- Zipped privacy panels with doors and windows.
- Panoramic meshed ceiling and windows
- Adjustable vents on the ground
- Closable electric cord
- Gear loft
- 30 second set up

- Poor poles
2. Core 6 Person Instant Cabin Tent
♦Floor area: 11 x 9 feet, ♦Product weight: 23.8 pounds, ♦Peak height: 72 inches, ♦Set up: 60 seconds set up, ♦Doors: 1 door, ♦Bedding: Fits 2 queen air mattress, ♦Colors: Green, wine, ♦Warranty: 1-year limited warranty, ♦Our ratings: 9 out of 10.
After an excellent 4 person dome tent above, this time I brought to you a 6 person instant tent or cabin tent from Core. Some of the basics of this tent are similar to that of the previous 4 person tent. It is mostly the basic materials and features as both these tents are made by the same manufacturer.
However, they are not absolutely the same. And as it is a 6 person tent, it means this tent is larger. With a larger tent, you will get larger and extra benefits. But the most attractive benefit is its price. Compared to other smaller and larger tents, the price of this 6 person tent is surely very alluring.
This Core 6 person tent is also very easy to set up like before. But as there is a big size difference, it takes about only one minute to set up by anyone. And if you have help, it can be done with even less time.
The setup process is also the same; unpack, unfold, and extend until it reaches the right position. And with this tent, there will be tent stakes for making it stronger and more resistant to windy situations. You need to push the stakes through the ground loops at a 45o angle.
The famous H2O block technology is also used in this tent-like it is used in the other tents of Core. The features you get from this H2O block technology are all the same. You will get water repellent fabric made door, windows, and every other thing of the tent. And of course, there will be a rain fly. Otherwise, the meshed ceiling will drop water down on you.
Inside the tent
Well, the inside of this tent is larger. Its floor area is about 11 x 9 feet and the peak height is about 72 inches. It’s about 6 feet so a normal person below this height can stand straight in the tent.
Unlike the 4 person tent that fits a queen mattress in it, the 6 person tent can fit two of such air mattresses. This means this tent can support two queen air mattresses in it with enough room for 6 people. And if the people living it do not have such air mattresses than they can use their own individual sleeping bags. It is up to the users of the tent. If the population in the tent is less then obviously there will be more room for them.
There is only one door but multiple windows in this tent. And all of them have zipped privacy panels with them. It’s an opaque covering in front of the windows so that the inner side remains non-visual from outside.
You will also get the ceiling rack and the lantern hook for your stuff and lamp. But the interesting thing is neither of them.
There is a huge wall organizer in this tent. It is made of small meshed pockets. Sometimes this wall organizer is also known as the media center in other tents. It is because you can put your phone, tablet, or laptop there. But in this Core tent, you will be able to put a lot more things in it that you might need very frequently. And the stuff you do not need much, you can put them on the ceiling.
Oh! I almost forgot about the electricity part. In this 6 person tent, you will also have a closable electricity connection port.
- Mesh ceiling provides good air circulation throughout the tent.
- All the doors and windows have zipped privacy panels with them to maintain your privacy inside the tent.
- This big tent can be set up by anyone very easily in just 60 seconds.
- H2O block technology is used to make it properly resistant to water or strong rain.
- There is a meshed large wall organizer and a rack on the ceiling where the user or the users can put all their miscellaneous stuff for camping.
- Large wall organizer
- Quick instant set up
- Good air circulation
- Privacy panels
- Room for two queen air mattresses
- H2O block technology
- Included tent stakes
- Poor door zipper
- Sometimes it leaks
- Hassle to put it back in the bag
- Too crowded for 6 fully grown person
3. Core 9 Person Instant Cabin Tent
♦Floor area: 14 x 9 feet, ♦Product weight: 35.1 pounds, ♦Peak height: 78 inches, ♦Set up: 60 seconds set up, ♦Doors: 2, ♦Bedding: Fits 2 queen air mattress, ♦Colors: Green, wine, ♦Our ratings: 9 out of 10.
Although its name is the same as the other Core tents, I assure you, it has completely advanced and integrated features. This is why it costs a bit more but given that it is a 9 person tent and the features it has, this price is not unfair to the potential buyers.
So like always, I am going to start with the features on the outer side of the tent. First of all, I would like to say that if you are thinking that you will get a very lightweight tent for 9 people then you are mistaken. The weight of the tent will increase with respect to its increasing size and capacity. For a larger tent, we need larger and better poles, frames, fabric, etc. So it is obvious that larger tents will have more weight.
This tent, for example, weighs about 35 pounds. If you look at smaller tents then you will see that they weigh around 10-12 pounds on average. As this tent weighs more so carrying it via any large transportation will be a lot easy for you.
However, as the size and weight increase, the set up of these tents have not become complicated at all. Instead, it maintained the same easy and quick set up system. This tent will also require about a minute to set up if you know the perfect unpack, unfold, and extend method.
Putting down the tent is also easy. When you know the way then you will be able to do it within 2-3 minutes.
Then we have the water-resistance system of this tent. And like I said, it is all the same in the Core tents. Core’s H2O block technology and all its features are available here too. The least mentionable difference is its larger than usual size.
Inside the tent
Well inside of this tent is richer than it’s outside or if it is compared to other tents.
Firstly it has a large floor area of 14 x 9 feet for 9 people. It will easily fit two queen air mattresses with some extra room. The air mattress is just an example here. It can fit any other type of bed too or sleeping bag for each of the individuals.
Anyone of normal height can stand or even walk around straight in this tent. Its central height is 78 inches and other parts have an almost similar height.
Another important feature of this tent is its room divider. This divider comes with the package and can be used to create multiple rooms in a single tent.
As we are speaking of privacy, you should know that this Core tent also has privacy panels with its doors and window. And by the way, it has two doors and many mesh windows. There are vents at the bottom and meshed ceiling on top. This tent is a master one for air circulation. And when it rains, you have an easy to use rain fly for protection. The fabric is made of durable 68D polyester and the floor material is made of 125 gsm P.E. So you are very safe inside.
Now we are just left with the wall organizer and the ceiling hook. To keep or stuffs organized in the tent, there are many gear pockets strategically placed throughout the tent. And like always there is a hook at the center to suspend any lantern or lamp for lighting during night time.
Lastly, the safely closable electricity supply cord is also not missing in this tent. Since it is closable when not in use, you have nothing to worry about it.
- There is a room divider with this tent that is used to create two rooms in the tent for the most ideal environment of the users.
- H2O block technology is used in this tent too for protection against rainy and adverse weather.
- Set up can be done instantly within 60 seconds if the proper method is known by the user.
- This tent has a superb ventilation system with multiple doors, windows, vents, and a mesh ceiling.
- Can fit any type of bed or at least two queen air mattresses for fully adjusting 9 people
- Quick instant set up
- Room divider
- Good air circulation
- Polyester fabric
- Room for at least two queen air mattresses
- Mesh wall pockets
- H2O block technology
- Electricity access port
- Included tent stakes
- Excess ventilation sometimes results in cold temperature in the tent
- The zipper is a hassle
4. Core 10 Person Straight Wall Tent
♦Package dimension: 29.4 in x 12.6 in x 12.6 in, ♦Floor area: 14 x 10 feet, ♦Product weight: 31.61 pounds, ♦Peak height: 86 inches, ♦Set up: 60 seconds set up, ♦Doors: 2, ♦Bedding: Fits 2 at least queen air mattress, ♦Colors: Wine, ♦Warranty: 1-year limited warranty, ♦Our ratings: 8 out of 10.
This time it is a slightly bigger tent from the last one in our core tent reviews list. It is the wine color 10 person straight wall tent of Core Equipment now. I wonder how Core has managed to install so many unique features and designs on each of their tent. As the capacity increases, their features keep changing.
Previously we have seen in the tents that their installation method was very easy as well as fast. But they had the same unfold and extending system. But this time, in this 10 person tent, we are getting color-coded set up for the tent.
There are 6 vertical steel poles and 3 fiberglass roof poles and 68D polyester fabric. These are coordinately color-coded so that the poles and the sleeves can be set up easily and quickly. The floor material is the same 125 gsm P.E. Though it is a tough type of plastic and waterproof in general saying, I would not make any promise regarding its water resistance.
Then just like always, the H2O block technology of Core is used in this tent too. Every feature and edition is available in this tent that is provided with the H2O block technology. We have discussed it earlier multiple times so I prefer not to say the same things over and over and waste your time. We have many other special things to tell you about this tent, don’t we?
Right now after reading all these different products of Core, these features might look the same to you. But I assure you, they might be similar, but not the same. And most of the features here are more upgraded to the best state possible.
Take the floor area for example. The floor area of this tent is 14 x 10 feet. From at least two queen air mattresses to any other type of bed or any bedding facility can be used in this tent according to its users’ preference.
This best 10 person tent has the highest peak among all the other Core tents reviewed by us. Its 86 inches height is more than enough for anyone to walk around the tent straightly. The only probable disadvantage would be if you want to put something on the gear loft at the center. And it will happen if and only if you cannot reach it in the center.
Yes, this tent also has the central gear loft and the hook for suspending the lamp of the tent. Not only that, but the electricity supply cord is also present in this tent and it is just as safe as it is in the other tents. And for your other miscellaneous stuff, there are many pockets; both mesh and strong fabric made.
Lastly, its important and interesting feature is the room divider. Just like the 9 person tent, this 10 people straight wall tent also has the room divider. Due to this divider, you will get your ideal room and privacy in the tent too.
- H2O block technology is used as usual in this tent for ensuring protection against any unwanted weather situations.
- A large floor area of this tent allows 10 people to fit in it comfortably.
- Multiple doors and windows and air vent with mesh ceiling will not let the temperature inside the tent to boil.
- Poles and sleeves are color-coded in this tent for an easy and quick set up process.
- H2O block technology
- Organizer pockets
- Color-coded instant set up
- Good air circulation
- Privacy panels
- Adjusts at least two queen air mattresses
- Weak poles
So, this is the end of our top-rated 4 best core tent reviews. We hope that you’ll find your suitable one from the list above. Now time to move another most interesting part of our review. What’s that?
Camping Hacks & Tricks with Safety Instructions
So as I have promised earlier that you will get some special information about camping and camping with the tents, this is just the start. Keep reading until your mind blows!
Just a heads up, when you are reading this try not to skip any part because everyone is correlated to each other.
If you are going on a camping trip or hiking trip or any other trip far from home, knowledge is the first and the foremost priority for you. Some may ask what type of knowledge do I need and why?
See camping or hiking or picnics are about unwinding, fun, enjoyment, and relieving with nature. If you are going to someplace away from home which is unknown to you and your companions then you won’t get much time for the fun parts. You will end up the trip just figuring out what to do and how to do it.
This is why knowledge is the most important thing before camping. And I am not talking about some light knowledge like I will go there and do this. No, this is not the knowledge I am talking about.
For camping or hiking, you need to have extensive knowledge about everything you are going to do and face after you step out of your home till you get back here. You need to have good knowledge of the spot, of the weather of the spot, of the natural condition of the camping or hiking spot, of the road, of your gears, of your camping equipment, of your food and water, of your supplies, of your preparation on any emergency situation and many more.
Fixing the camping spot is up to the people who are going. Everyone has their own choice and style. But no matter what place you choose, get all the knowledge of that place first.
Research about the spot, its environment, how fruitful the place is, does it satisfy your camping intention?
Then keeping in mind the time, season and weather, do your math of the spot. Is it sunny or rainy, hot or very cold, is there any possibility of a sudden heavy storm in the area or is the place safe in such situations, is there a good source of drinking water nearby; this sort of knowledge you must have about the place before going.
When you are going on a camping trip, you should take the special gear for a special place. I mean you should see the weather and other condition and take the matching outfit for the trip.
If you take normal clothes in a cold freezing area or heavy wool jackets in a desert-like area, then it would nothing but an act of stupidity. So, gain enough knowledge of the place and environment and then plan your gears.
And by gears I do not mean the shirts and pants, I mean every single clothing you may need from head to toe.
Suppose you are going to a normal plain camping area where a good pair of shoes or snickers would be enough. Again suppose you planning for a hiking trip too. So you will need a good pair of hiking shoes there. Now suppose the hiking trail is very rough and the environment is also challenging. Then you should take a very good, rough and tough hiking boot with you.
Here is a list of some of the best hiking boots that you might need for your next camping or hiking trip.
I have just given an example of the shoes. You need to consider each and every gear you might possibly need there.
The camping equipment is your best friend during the trip. Because you need every one of them for your time out of your home.
Some of the most important camping and hiking equipment could be a tent, water filter, canopy, sleeping bag or pad, wood-burning stove, backpack, lamps or flashlights, camping chairs or tables, rain jacket or jacket depending on the environment.
If you think you need any of the accessories mentioned above, I have attached some links to the best products among them. All you have to do is to click on the name!
You have to pick wisely what you will need during the trip. Taking extra equipment will be unnecessary and a hassle for the trip.
Food & Water
Well, these are the things you must have to survive. You need knowledge of the food and the amount of food you will need for the whole trip.
Here is a precaution; some people take too much unhealthy food or drink during the trips that eventually make them sick. You know, excess of nothing is good. There is also a good possibility of taking contaminated food or water intentionally or unintentionally in the site. So my suggestion is that whatever you eat for the fun trip, do not become careless and overdo it to that much that the fun turns in to misery.
A must-have thing during any camping or hiking trip is healthy drinking water. If your place does not have enough clean water then take a portable water filter with you. They are available both for an individual and for a large group.
Follow this link to get the best lifestraw portable water filter.
If you have adequate knowledge of the above-mentioned things, you are good to go for any type of fun and successful camp.
Importance of Tent in Camping
If you are not out in a camp for a few hours than a tent is one of the most important parts of your camping or hiking trip. Tents are of several types and their usage also differs accordingly. Some tents are used for different humanitarian works in different situations such as natural calamities, war, etc. But as our topic is about camping and hiking, I am staying within these walls.
No matter what type of tent it is, the prime purpose is the same for all. It is to provide shelter and protection whether it is for a long or short period of time. After that, there are many new and updated features and facilities have been added in the tents for a better lifestyle.
In the camping world, there are many types of tents. It will not be possible to discuss all of them together here today so I thought I will just mention some of their names.
- Family tents
- Backpacking tents
- Dome tents
- Ridge tent or A-shaped tents
- Trailer tents
- Pop up tents
- Geodesic tents
- Pyramid tents
- Inflatable tents
I have named just 10 of them but there are a lot of variants of them are also available in the market.
As I have said earlier that now tents have many facilities and features but their primary purpose is to provide shelter and protection.
Protection against weather
Whether you are home or out in the wilderness, it is not possible to survive without a shelter above the head. So when we are at a camp, we cannot just take our whole house with us, can we? So we use a tent as a temporary living facility. And this tent provides us the facility we get from our concrete house. Although they are not exactly the same but don’t they both protect us from the sun, wind, and rain?
From the tent, we get shadow against the sun. It acts as a wall against the wind. And when it is raining, the tent becomes the roof over our head. But for that, you have to buy a waterproof tent such as the Core tents above.
Safety against Living beings
In our home, what do we not do to protect ourselves against insects, bugs, mosquitoes, flies, etc. other organisms. Now imagine their strength in the wild nature.
A tent also keeps us safe from such insects or many animals. I am not saying a tent can withstand a shark attack. But who knows what type of insects or snakes or bears are wandering in the wild. With a tent at least we can be out of their sight and safe from those creatures, don’t we?
Tents give us privacy from outside just like our concrete walls at home. Moreover, if you have a big tent-like that of the Core 9 person and 10 person tent from above, you have extra privacy panels, and also a room divider from privacy within the tent.
Nobody from outside will know whether you are sleeping or eating or drinking or dancing in the tent. Not just yours, but a tent provides privacy and safety of your belongings too.
Isn’t why we go camping? To get closer to nature and gain the experience of living in it. We will not be able to get that feeling if we go to the backcountry and still live in a big building. Living in a tent will get you out of the regular monotonous lifestyle and help you gain peace and pleasure within the greeneries.
Reminder before the Camp
There is a very important reminder and suggestion I would like to give you before you take out your tent and directly go for camping. Many people I have found that they go on the trip right after buying the tent without even opening it at first. This is a great mistake.
At the beginning of this section, I have told you to gain knowledge before going to the camp. The first thing you should do after buying a tent is to study it. Study it does not mean to open the package and look at it. I mean you should open up the tent and set it up. Then try spending time inspecting the tent carefully. You will try to see if the tent matches with the thoughts you have given for the camping trip. When you are done, put the tent down and pack it just like you would after finishing your trip.
You should do this multiple times. In this way, you will learn how to use the tent, how to set it up and put it down after use. The complications with the tent will be removed and you will not face any of those complications in the campsite.
This process also has another benefit. Suppose the tent you have bought has some defects. It could be minor or sometimes it could be major. So if you practice with a tent from before then you will be able to know if it has any problems or not. And if there is any problem, you can fix it from before and will not have to deal with it when you are on your fun trip.
I think we have had enough lectures on tents for one day. Firstly I have reviewed a few of the best tents manufactured by Core. There I have tried to honestly share all my week-long experiences with them. This is why you will get all the good and bad I had detected from them in the review.
Then as I have promised to you at the beginning of this review that you will have a special section discussing tents and camping with them. And I think we have had a lot of discussion on this subject. My only worry is that I hope I am not boring you. Because I would hate to do that. All I want is to help you have the best joyful camping experience with your companions and the best Core tent.
Anyway, if you love these Core tent reviews then do not forget to share your camping or hiking experience with us. Go to the comment box and share what you have to say. Also if you have any suggestions related to camping, feel free to share that too. Thank you, Happy camping!
